Summary
Party 3 continues to explore the second story of the Silver Palace. They explored the room where the decapus had emerged from. They find a book and Wendy Pestle pockets it.
In a different room they interrupt a ritual being performed by a Cleric with a red eye painted on his forehead and focusing on a ruby red sword. They party disrupts the ritual and engage into a combat to the the death. Before vanquishing the cleric Catharandamus, he calls for help. They arrive in the form of 4 orcs with shields adorned with a red eye and a tall woman who also has a red eye painted on her forehead, but are too late to be of assistance to him.
Thegwin Dreggs picks up the Mace of Catharnadamus, which makes it easier (+2) to hit an opponent. Thegwin casts light in an attempt to blind the new cleric, but she is able to dodge it. She reciprocates by casting darkness which impacts everyone in the small room. The adventurers and their combatants slug it out in almost total darkness for several rounds, during which the cleric transforms into a werewolf and injures Duchess and Wendy Pestle. Candella receives a fatal blow, but the rest of the adventurers survive the encounter.
