Summary

Just before dawn party 2 attempts to rescue Beef the Meaty from this abductors Eloquent Ellie, Nyx Lastname, and Jilly Lank. Olga Volgamoore, Beatrix Knibbs, and Stilton Hovel stand in the road forcing the abductors to stop their cart, while Mira remains hidden so she can launch a surprise sneak attack against if her companions signal to do so. The conversation does not go well and Jilly Lank casts sleep, forcing Olga and Beatrix into a magical slumber. Stilton is told to remove her friends from the road so the cart can pass. While he does this Jilly casts invisibility on Nyx. Once the cart is past them Stilton slaps her friends awake and Beatrix immediately casts sleep on Jilly and Ellie. This awakens Tankard Safecracker a halfling bandit that had not been noticed by the rescuers as he was sleeping in the cart. The combat continues and in the end Jilly and Ellie fall to the rescuers, while Tankard is spared. Party 9 steals the cart and makes their get away.
