Summary
Party 6 arrives at the Wizard’s Tower where they find their surroundings to have an inexplicable spongy feel to them, including the rocks. The tower is under the perpetual cover of dark clouds, and a ring 40’ tall metal spikes surrounds the tower. The party observes lightening striking these spikes. The tower is made of sold stone blocks and no visible windows. On top of the tower is a large sphere. At the base of the tower is a staircase up to a pair of double doors.
They also find the corpse of an adventurer who was wearing an amulet of protection. It appears that this was the sister-in-law of the keep’s scribe. Their examination of the body indicated that the adventurer was attempting flee the area.
The pair continue to explore the strange surroundings and find the corpses of other adventurers, which have been deceased much longer. All appeared to have exhausted all of their supplies. Some corpses appear to be human animal hybrids.
The party decides to leave, and are able to make camp a good distance from the tower.
