Summary

Adventuring Party 11

Beatrix Knibbs, Mira, and Olga Volgamoore arrive at Castallan Keep and are receive a hero's welcome as they are the first to return from The Wizard's Tower.

The crowd peppered them with questions for details and also wants to know if it is safe. The party asks for some privacy, but most persist with their questions. Mira, describes in gruesome detail the murder room they uncovered with an energy that many in the crowd found unsettling and then disperse.

Those remaining ask about the persistent storm that surrounds the tower. Olga describes the mysterious dangers of the enchantments surrounding the tower and that they were unable to learn anything for certain about the storm.

Beatrix describes the snake handle, but the audience begins to spin it as a "door of snakes" which will become a rumor that persists at The Keep.

At Olga's insistence, the Party retrieves the Amulet of protection from Beef the Meaty who remains invisible and The Keep has concluded is his unsettled spirit still trying to hone his craft of serving meat pies of unparalleled quality. Word has gotten out and people have begun to travel to eat food that had been prepared by a ghost.

With the Amulet in the party's possession, they return it to the Scribe of Castallan Keep and then asks if they ran into Conrad while they were at the tower. Olga mentions that they did not, which the Scribe merely comments that it is interesting. Mira informs him that they have run into Conrad in their travels and asks if there is a message he would like for them to relay. The Scribe shares that he had asked Conrad to search for the Amulet as well.

The Scribe asks if the Wizard was there. Olga mentions that he was present, possibly working from the shadows, and that they did not confront him directly. Mira added that they did not explore the entire tower and that they were lucky to get out with their lives.

Grot Sibilshell, the personal attendant to the Castallan, enters the room and announces that he has been sent to summon the party to meet with the Castallan.

Grot brings them to the keep's upper apartments, where the party has not previously been to, and into a dining hall where the Castallan Galthea Rocsanne. She asks about:

Was valuable anything found?
- After asking several times she mentions her responsibilities to collect taxes and that she wants everything to be above board.
Is it safe now? Could 3 people go?
- The party maintains it is too dangerous for anyone to travel. Mira asks that anything related to tower is removed from the job board.
Asks about the missing fourth member of the party?
- The party asserts that Stilton is injured but is better off where they are and does not need assistance.

She repeatedly offers to send a detachment out or the Curate before finally telling Grot to relay a message to the Captain of Castallan Keep Guard that he is to allot a detachment (4 - 8 people) of his best men and women to escort the party to the tower.

Beatrix asks if there have been any recent Lintumiehet sightings and Glathea explains that there have not been. Beatrix asks if Galthea knows what their business is and she does not. Switching topics, Beatrix and Mira asks about The Swans and all she can really say is that it has been a light season for them.

Mira asks about any caravans headed to Alfheim because the party will eventually be headed that way. Galthea says there will likely be at least one and she can arrange for the party to travel with them.

Olga asks about if the Castallan could help them identify potions found at the Wizard's Tower. She says that unknown potions are dangerous and that no one at The Keep could, but she would ask her extended network and someone would likely know something.

Galthea mentions that the party can get word to her through Grot. If they cannot find him, they can check in with the Scribe who should be able to help track him down.

The party heads back to the Scribe to pay 250gp in taxes on 1000gp (2 chest) that they claim to have found at the Wizard's Tower, which is far less then they actually owe. On receiving the taxes, The scribe is ecstatic and has rarely seen that much currency.
