[[Beatrix Knibbs]], [[Mira]], and [[Olga Volgamoore]] arrive at [[Castallan Keep]] and are receive a hero's welcome as they are the first to return from [[The Wizard's Tower]].

The crowd peppered them with questions for details and also wants to know if it is safe. The party asks for some privacy, but most persist with their questions. Mira, describes in gruesome detail the murder room they uncovered with an energy that many in the crowd found unsettling and then disperse.

Those remaining ask about the persistent storm that surrounds the tower. Olga describes the mysterious dangers of the enchantments surrounding the tower and that they were unable to learn anything for certain about the storm.

Beatrix describes the snake handle, but the audience begins to spin it as a "door of snakes" which will become a rumor that persists at The Keep.

At Olga's insistence, the Party retrieves the [[Amulet of protection]] from [[Beef the Meaty]] who remains invisible and The Keep has concluded is his unsettled spirit still trying to hone his craft of serving meat pies of unparalleled quality. Word has gotten out and people have begun to travel to eat food that had been prepared by a ghost.

With the Amulet in the party's possession, they return it to the [[Scribe of Castallan Keep]] and then asks if they ran into [[Conrad]] while they were at the tower. Olga mentions that they did not, which the Scribe merely comments that it is interesting. Mira informs him that they have run into Conrad in their travels and asks if there is a message he would like for them to relay. The Scribe shares that he had asked Conrad to search for the Amulet as well.

The Scribe asks if the Wizard was there. Olga mentions that he was present, possibly working from the shadows, and that they did not confront him directly. Mira added that they did not explore the entire tower and that they were lucky to get out with their lives.

[[Grot Sibilshell]], the personal attendant to the Castallan, enters the room and announces that he has been sent to summon the party to meet with the Castallan.

Grot brings them to the keep's upper apartments, where the party has not previously been to, and into a dining hall where the [[Castallan Galthea Rocsanne]]. She asks about:
* Was valuable anything found?
** After asking several times she mentions her responsibilities to collect taxes and that she wants everything to be above board.
* Is it safe now? Could 3 people go?
** The party maintains it is too dangerous for anyone to travel. [[Mira]] asks that anything related to tower is removed from the job board.
* Asks about the missing fourth member of the party?
** The party asserts that Stilton is injured but is better off where they are and does not need assistance.

She repeatedly offers to send a detachment out or [[Castallan Curate|the Curate]] before finally telling Grot to relay a message to the [[Captain of Castallan Keep Guard]] that he is to allot a detachment (4 - 8 people) of his best men and women to escort the party to the tower.

Beatrix asks if there have been any recent [[Lintumiehet]] sightings and Glathea explains that there have not been. Beatrix asks if Galthea knows what their business is and she does not. Switching topics, Beatrix and Mira asks about [[The Swans]] and all she can really say is that it has been a light season for them.

Mira asks about any caravans headed to [[Alfheim]] because the party will eventually be headed that way. Galthea says there will likely be at least one and she can arrange for the party to travel with them.

Olga asks about if the Castallan could help them identify potions found at the Wizard's Tower. She says that unknown potions are dangerous and that no one at The Keep could, but she would ask her extended network and someone would likely know something.

Galthea mentions that the party can get word to her through Grot. If they cannot find him, they can check in with the Scribe who should be able to help track him down.

The party heads back to the Scribe to pay 250gp in taxes on 1000gp (2 chest) that they claim to have found at the Wizard's Tower, which is far less then they actually owe. On receiving the taxes, The scribe is ecstatic and has rarely seen that much currency.

=== Summary ===
[[Adventuring Party 6|Party 6]] arrives at the Wizard’s Tower where they find their surroundings to have an inexplicable
spongy feel to them, including the rocks. The tower is under the perpetual cover of dark clouds,
and a ring 40’ tall metal spikes surrounds the tower. The party observes lightening striking these
spikes. The tower is made of sold stone blocks and no visible windows. On top of the tower is a
large sphere. At the base of the tower is a staircase up to a pair of double doors.

They also find the corpse of an adventurer who was wearing an [[Amulet of protection]]. It appears
that this was the sister-in-law of the keep’s scribe. Their examination of the body indicated that
the adventurer was attempting flee the area.

The pair continue to explore the strange surroundings and find the corpses of other adventurers,
which have been deceased much longer. All appeared to have exhausted all of their supplies.
Some corpses appear to be human animal hybrids.

The party decides to leave, and are able to make camp a good distance from the tower.

The Minotaur

Bill:

Erisippos is a Minotaur who operated out of [[Cave I]] in the [[Caves of Chaos]] and served as the hired muscle for a group of priests that were bringing creatures to Mystara from other worlds. He succumbed to a toxic mixture of potions hurled at him by [[Stilton Hovel]] on [[First Mention::June 16th 1000 AC]] after it became clear Erisippos was going to attack [[Adventuring Party 2]] for trying to pay him with meat pies for the information he had just provided about the priests who employ him.

The encounter also left the impression that he had defeated a [[Lintumiehet]].

The encounter also left the impression that he had defeated a [[Lintumiehet]].

First thing in the morning [[Vanga Yor]] tells the party about a pack of wolves that visited the camp while hän kept watch, but it wasn't a big deal. Hän took care of them because hän is good with animals. While traveling to the [[Caves of Chaos]] Vanga Yor spots a small flock of birds resting on the ground in a clearing. He runs over to them waving hän's arms scaring them off. Hän returns to the party and says:
See. Good with animals.

The party's objective is to gain more information from [[The Minotaur]] about the methods of traveling between worlds, but they don't know which of the 5 unexplored caves he can be found. When pressed by [[Olga Volgamoore|Olga]], [[Conrad]] recalls that the last time he had an audience with the Minotaur it was in [[Cave I]]. But he can't help navigate the cave because he gets turned around.

As the party gets closer to the Minotaur the party convinces Vanga Yor to stay back, as they are afraid about how he'll react to seeing "an animal" like the Minotaur. Conrad also stays back because he's not in good graces with the Minotaur.

The party finds Erisippos the Minotaur in a chamber with various weapons mounted on the walls, sitting on an elevated makeshift throne holding a trident, and wearing a tightly fitting poncho. [[Beatrix Knibbs]] and [[Olga Volgamoore]] immediately assume he has slayed a [[Lintumiehet]]. They present themselves as bodyguards for a scholar who is studying the methods of traveling between worlds.

Beatrix relates a story about their interactions with the wizard [[Caladimus]]. Through conversation they learn:
* Erisippos reveals that he is the "muscle" of those who are bringing creatures into Mystara.
* Additionally he briefly detailed a ritual performed by a priest which involved pulling individuals out of a pool of slime and "blessing" or "cursing" them into being more unpredictable by human standards.
* It is only used to bring people in and they become part of the Minotaur's underlings.
* Some live in the caves and others go out into the world spreading chaos.
* The priest is sent from a temple and sometimes there is more than one at a time.
* The church is the one that employs them. One of the Minotaur's responsibilities is to manage what happens when they pull something out of the slime that is more than the priests can handle.

After divulging so much, Erisippos demands payment and Beatrix offers up the book he took from [[The Wizard's Tower]].

[[Mira]] offers up a [[peryton]] feather and he gets excited about the prospect of one being in the area because he wants to challenge it.

Satisfied by the book and the knowledge of where he can find a peryton he states that they are even and the information they just gained would not cost them their lives.

Olga asks where they can find the priests who perform the ritual. Erisippos divulges the information and, for payment, Olga presents him one off [[Beef The Meaty|Beef's]] meat pies. Erisippos begins to fall into a slow rage as he has been given a pie made out of what he considers his kindred.

In desperation the party throws all of the potions from the wizards tower at him. The vials break and steam surrounds him. From within the steam there are flashes of light. From a safe distance the party watches as:
* shrinks to 2 feet tall
* loses control of his faculties
* goes from swearing and cursing to only asking questions
* loses all of his hair
* his teeth fall out and his hooves fall off
* followed by horrendous body odor
* complains about the brightness of the light from the flashes

Then he finally succumbs to all the terrible effects.

Beatrix comments:
I now feel much safer not having any of that with us.

The party takes weapons that were mounted from the wall.
* Beatrix: +1 Sword (+3 against regenerating creatures)
* Mira: +1 Crossbow for distance (fires double the normal range)
* Olga: +1 Trident enchanged to demoralize foes. On a hit, an opponent must save vs spells or be demoralized for 2d4 rounds and make a moral check or surrender. 20 charges.
* Stilton: +2 Dagger blade lengthens to a short sword doing 1d6+2 damage. Against opponents made of wood or stone it inflicts maximum damage.

Mira also retrieves the perryton feather.

On the way out Beatrix asks what Vanga Yor what hän would have done if he was near a cow. Hän says that he is not allowed near them.

[[Beatrix Knibbs]], [[Olga Volgamoore]], and [[Mira]] meet back up with [[Stilton Hovel]], [[Conrad]], and [[Vanga Yor]]. Before saying hello, Beatrix says

You are badly injured. Mostly internally. If anyone asks... And it's highly contagious.

The party then explains how the party lied about why Stilton did not return to the [[Castallan Keep|Keep]] with them. They also explain about how they paid taxes on the treasure they said they found, which was far less than what was actually found.

Stilton shares information he gathered from Conrad about the city of [[Gnomon]] and that Vanga Yor says hän is good with animals, despite there being no evidence to that. The rest of the party immediately begins to wonder if Vanga Yor is some sort of fabled royalty where birds descend on hän and sing to hän.

====== March 28th ======
Arrived at [[Castallan Keep]] on [[March 28th 1000 AC]]. Part of the party that defeated a group of Kobolds by using their ambush against them.

Fended off Kobolds with a tent mallet, thinking it was a warhammer. Survived the encounter with 1 HP. A feat that amused the patrons of Castallan Keep’s only tavern that they covered her expenses for the week.

====== March 28th - 35th ======
Between [[March 28th 1000 AC]] and [[March 35th 1000 AC]] Stilton recovered at the Keep’s chapel under the care of it’s [[Castallan Curate|Curate]] and his acolytes. The chapel is a place where numerous immortals have their stories preserved for the ages, all though most people will devote themselves to one or two. It is not uncommon to see a priest or an acolyte traveling through to stop and pay respects.

While recovering in the chapel, Stilton, catches one such acolyte stealing from the chapels offering box. Funds that are meant for the upkeep of the chapel and for the care of the severely wounded. The acolyte apologizes and claims that she didn’t know it was for only the chapel. In the land that she is from such offerings are open for any religious order to take as they need.

Stilton wasted no time informing the Curate who informed the Castallan who ordered the acolyte to be imprisoned for 1 day and pay a fine of 4 gold pieces, which her priest pays. He offers his apologies to both the Curate and Stilton. In a separate chance meeting with the Priest, he offers to join Stilton’s party if they venture back to the caves. Sometime after that the Curate mentions that he does not trust the priest and that Stilton should be cautious of him.

====== March 35th ======
On [[March 35th 1000 AC]] Stilton joined the raid on [[Cave D]] in search of the remains of [[Bertram Swinney]] in which all party members returned alive, after surviving 3 separate combat encounters with goblins.

====== March 35th - May 7th ======
Between [[March 35th 1000 AC]] and [[May 7th 1000 AC]] the [[Sol Wolfingham|priest of the church]] who previously offered to accompany Stilton learned of the successful raid in Cave D. He presses somewhat forcefully to accompany Stilton on their next journey. Stilton asked why he wanted to risk his life. The priest explained that for him it is a religious venture. He is a priest of the temple of [[Macroblan]] an Immortal who elevates those who are able to prosper by offering them more opportunities to accumulate wealth. His service to the church has left him with fewer opportunities than he expected and is always looking for a way to earn some gold.

====== May 7th ======
On [[May 7th 1000 AC]] [[Adventuring Party 2]] comes up with a plan to learn more about the possible whereabouts of [[Conrad]], by using a similar technique that [[Olga Volgamoore]] and [[Beatrix Knibbs] used with a trio of bandits a week ago. This time the plan is to stage a birthday party for Stilton (whose birthday was 2 weeks prior) at the tavern, and charge people admission to cover the costs of the food (meat pies prepared by [[Beef the Meaty]]).

During the birthday celebration the party learns the names of the three bandits: [[Nyx Lastname]], the muscular one with the viking braids is [[Shieldbasher]], and the one with the 'short bob' is named Ellie (which Nyx pronounces "Ewws" which is Ells short for [[Eloquent Ellie]]).

Group isolates each of the three bandits so Beatrix can use his ESP spell on them again. Between that and general conversation, the party learns that the three bandits are leaving in the morning to meet up with their gang "the swans" who have a hideout south of the keep that are a couple days away, confirms that Conrad's hair is grows at a fast rate. Everyone in the keep knows Conrad and everyone has some sort of grievance with him. The gang doesn't pay taxes. There are two routes to the headquarters through the mountains or take the river south and then trek up through the hills going North.

The bandits invite the party to join the gang. But the party declines.

Other activities include hair braiding, an arm wrestling contest between Stilton and Shieldbasher which Stilton won after several rounds, writing people's names on their foreheads with warpaint. Shieldbasher also walks away from the party "playing" a whistle and the other two are carrying stacks of left over meat pies.

====== May 14th - 21st ======
Between [[May 14th 1000 AC]] and [[May 21st 1000 AC]] word about Stilton's prowess as an arm wrestler spreads throughout the keep. He finds himself challenged by caraveners and is racking up quite a winning streak. So much so that he finds the toughest, shadiest person who is passing through and challenges them to an arm wrestling match. [[Arznak|The stranger]] says he doesn't participate in rigged games. Stilton presses him on his allegations and the man says matter-of-factly that there are acolytes in the keep who are paying people to lose. [[Olga Volgamoore]] walks into the conversation and the stranger becomes very guarded, to the point that they refer to speak with you anymore. Stilton later confirms that these are acolytes of [[Macroblan]] and serve the [Sol Wolfingham|priest]] who has been insisting on accompanying Stilton when the party goes out adventuring.

====== May 21st ======
On [[May 21st 1000 AC]], [[Adventuring Party 8]] set out to investigate a report of large empty cages found 6 miles south of the keep. The party believes there may be a connection between these cages and last week's sighting of two [peryton|perytons]]. Stilton, [[Beatrix Knibbs]], and [[Olga Volgamoore]] are able to locate the cages away from the road, just as their source told them.

The trio investigate the empty cages and find that the metal cages are open and have locked padlocks on them. They also find large feathers which line up with Olga's memory of her encounter last week.

Olga and Beatrix argue about whether or not this was a lawful or unlawful conservation program. Stilton on the other hand makes the observation that there don't seem to be any ponchos, referring to Olga's earlier conversation about [[Lintumiehet|lintumiehets]].

When investigating the surrounding area Stilton finds wagon tracks, that come off the road and return. The group suspects that the wagon left the road, dropped the cages and then returned, although Beatrix has some wild or alternative theory involving shape shifting perytons.

Beatrix enters one of the cages. Olga finds a scrap of paper with a fragment of writing on it, but no one recognizes it. Although it appears close enough to an Elvin language to assume it is one.

The party decides to return to the Keep and see if someone notices an empty wagon passing through. They also realize that the trees here aren't strong enough to support a peryton nest. Beatrix speculates that these are chaotic conservationists that didn't do research before releasing the creatures into the wild.

Beatrix picks up as many feathers as he can, and begins scheming on how to profit from the two abandoned cages.

At the keep the party speaks with the scribe who confirms that there was a caravan that had an empty wagon in it. The group has since left, but the driver and wagon are still in the keep according to his records. The scribe tells them the man's name is [[Arznak]].

The party meets with the mysterious Arznak in the tavern and this is none other than the same person who claimed that Stilton's arm wrestling matches were fixed. Through conversation they learn he is from one of the Principalities [[Principalities of Glantri|Glantri]] and that he is hunting a lintumiehet. The party talks to him about perytons and get the impression that he is tied to the recent sightings. Arznak mentions that two hunters are recovering in the temple from an encounter with perytons.

Stilton convinces him to arm wrestle him and just as their match is about to begin he unexpectedly falls asleep. Beatrix assumes someone in the area cast a sleep spell.

Stilton wakes up on the temple floor sopping wet and finding a pair of acolytes standing over him with an empty bucket in their hands. Off to the side he hears Beatrix say "So thats why clerics don't use bladed weapons."

Beatrix and Olga are talking to the pair of hunters who are recovering in the temple. They describe their encounter and the older one shares a bit about seeing a lintumiehet a few years ago. He confirms that what attacked them was something different. When asked about the lintumiehet the older one says that after he saw it he remembers hearing a story about when one visited the keep before then. Three people tried to make trouble with it and creature dispatched them all before they had a chance to draw their weapons.

The temple acolytes move the party along so their patients can get some rest.

====== May 21st - 28th ======
Between [[May 21st 1000 AC|May 21st]] and [[May 28th 1000 AC|28th]] 1000 AC [[Nyx Lastname]] and [[Eloquent Ellie|Eloquent Ellie aka Ells]] (two of the three suspected bandits who attended Stilton's birthday party) return to the keep accompanied by an elf named [[Jilly Lank]]. Ells asks if Stilton knows where his elf friend is ([[Beatrix Knibbs]]) and then Jilly stares at Stilton the same way Beatrix does when he's using his ESP ability. Stilton thinks of distracting thoughts and replays the bloody attack on the kobolds from March 28th. Jilly turns to Ells, shakes her head and the three of them go on their way.

====== May 28th ======
Beatrix uses his read languages on a scrap of paper that was acquired when the peryton cages were discovered. The dialect is Belcadizasine and it is a list of places in [[Ierendi]] (a tropical kingdom). Other than looking for overly tan elves Beatrix decides to not spend much more time with this.

[[Adventuring Party 2|Party 2]] decides to revisit the cages that were found on May 21st, and speculate on [[Arznak|Arznak's]] motives as they assume the cages (and the scrap of paper with Belcadizasine script) are his. But mostly the party discusses the potential to make money off of the cages.

====== May 29th ======
[[Adventuring Party 2|Party 2]] discover that [[Beef the Meaty]] has been abducted. The party searches his quarter where they see signs of a struggle. The [[Amulet of protection]] is nowhere to be found. [[Stilton Hovel]] finds trace evidence that the three bandits he spoke to yesterday were in the room. The party inquires about the trio and learn that they did not make any arrangements to stay overnight yesterday.

They proceed to converse with the [[Scribe of Castallan Keep]] who doesn't have it in his records that he left. In conversation, [[Conrad]] comes up and the Scribe shows some patience to him that no one else seems to have.

In secret the Scribe suspects that there are unknown ways to get in and out of the keep, which has caused him to alter records and if caught could be big trouble for him.

====== May 30th ======
[[Adventuring Party 2|Party 2]] revisit the [[Scribe of Castallan Keep]]. Beatrix asks if he was ready for a curve ball, which confused him because all balls are curved.

[[Olga Volgamoore]] presses the scribe about secret passages into and out of [[Castallan Keep]] and the scribe repeats that he doesn't know. If he did he would do his best to seal them up as their existence implicates (at best) less than accurate record keeping.

Beatrix inquires if there would be a pretax reward for locating the hypothetical passages. The scribe indicates that there is a possibility.

The party heads off in the direction of [[The Swans]] base of operations, which they only have a rough idea of its whereabouts. They know of a long way which requires traveling south by the river and then back north, and the shorter way through the mountains. The party elects for the shorter route to try to beat the abductors to the base.

[[Mira]] is able to decode secret path markers used by the bandits.

====== May 31st ======
The party comes out of the mountains and enters a terrain of rolling grasslands with no roads or buildings. The party eventually arrives at a mansion in the middle of nowhere. There are people in the courtyard. A whistle could be heard and someone yelling to get them to stop.

The party moves on further south in order to intercept the abductors and free [[Beef the Meaty|Beef]] before the bandits reach the camp. After putting a fair amount of distance between the camp and themselves, the party hides. Right before midnight the group is able to spot the bandits riding in a cart pulled by a donkey or a small horse which also has [[Beef the Meaty|Beef]] who is bound.

====== May 32nd ======
[[Olga Volgamoore]], [[Beatrix Knibbs]], and [[Stilton Hovel]] block the road the abductors are traveling, while [[Mira]] hides behind them waiting to attack when the group shouts the word "Curve Ball".

As the cart stops, Olga begins conversing with [[Eloquent Ellie]] in a diplomatic tone, but it is tense and become adversarial when Beef calls out that he is here against his will.

Without warning, the elf, [[Jilly Lank]] casts Sleep on the three of them and Stilton is the only one who is able to resist the spell.

Stilton puts debates about attacking, but realizes she is out numbered. The bandits request that he remove his friends from the road so they can begin moving the cart again. Stilton complies and in the process loses track of [[Nyx Lastname]].

After moving her two friends out of harms way and as the cart moves past Stilton hears snoring from inside the cart. Beef calls out to him in an unfamiliar accent, "Beware of [[Tankard Safecracker]]! and Nyx has turned invisible!". Then he hears Ellie remark, "Let it go, it's all over now".

As the wagon travels away Stilton jostles and slaps awake Beatrix and then Olga. Beatrix casts sleep on two of the bandits and Olga calls out the signal for Mira to attack which has the unintended effect of waking up Tankard Safecracker. Stilton chases after the cart and Olga follows. The halfling is hit with an arrow and is struggling to get past Beef to get to the front of the cart to take control of it. Stilton jumps onto the back of the cart just as Tankard gets past Beef. Olga continues running and makes her way to the front of the cart.

An arrow flies over his head and finds its way to Tankard. Stilton stabs the halfling with the sword, but is intentionally not attempting a lethal strike. Just as he strikes the cart hits a bump and he does not injure Tankard nearly as much as he had hoped to. However, being hit by two arrows and wounded by a sword is enough to convince him to surrender, saying:
Stop shooting! Don't hurt Beef! His food is too good!

Stilton puts his sword his sword down.

The party allows a very confused Tankard Safecracker to continue on. After he gets his bearings and starts to stumble off in the direction of the bandit camp and then Beatrix makes an offer for him to join [[The Perytons]] but they do not receive a reply.

After the rescuers let Tankard go they turn the cart south and ask Beef to explain what happened to him. He explains some of the details of the abduction and shares a bit of what he learned from the bandits.
* There is a mansion with a treasure room protected by magic traps.
* The mansion has a garden that has the highly sought after [[purple habaneros]], which would be great for his meat pies.
* Finally there is a wizard [[Uzul Balashi]] who is a very powerful druid who can control plants.

He also shares that Jilly tried to read his mind in order to gain his recipe for meat pies, but Beef doesn't think of it as a recipe. Instead he views it as something that is constantly being perfected, each time he prepares one, he does it differently.

The group eventually abandons the cart so they can hide in the hills, away from the road. With clever work done by Mira and Beatrix the party is able to successfully evade their pursuers.

====== May 33rd ======
[[Adventuring Party 9]] travels back in the direction of [[Castallan Keep]]. While traveling [[Eloquent Ellie's Journal]] and [[Jilly Lank's Journal]] are read.

From [[Jilly Lank|Jilly's]] notes they learn that she was recently recruited into [[The Swans]] specifically for her mind reading capabilities. This was because The Swans had encountered an elf at the keep which they suspect was reading the minds of their members and they wanted to match that capability. The abduction of of [[Beef the Meaty]] was her first mission. She did not get along with [[Eloquent Ellie]] and was actively plotting ways to murder her.

From Ellie's journal was detailed about planning missions and they learn the name [[Phrynia]] who is influential with the leader of the swans. Phrynia's wanted more meat pies after tasting the ones that Ellie, [[Shieldbasher]], and [[Nyx Lastname]] returned to camp with after attending a birthday party during their time at the keep. So the leader, [[Dominguos de Bellehache]], ordered Beef's abduction.

There are coded notes which they are able to determine are the early stages of a plan to frame Jilly for some act of betrayal of the swans. This was driven because Ellie was incapable of trusting anyone who could read minds.

====== May 34th ======
[[Adventuring Party 9]] arrives back at the keep after rescuing [[Beef the Meaty]] and evading pursuit from [[The Swans]].

====== May 35th - June 6th ======
Between [[May 34th 1000 AC|May 34th]] and [[June 6th 1000 AC|June 6th]] tracks down the rumors of a mysterious metallic oddity that has become the gossip of [[Castallan Keep|The Keep]]. Stilton finds a new adventurer in The Keep and it's his last day. He has found something interesting that he can bring back to his small town and be celebrated for life. He shows Stilton what appears to be a metallic hand, with broken bones from the arm. He originally thought it was a sculpture but he noticed there were tiny threads that move the fingers. He demonstrates and Stilton witnesses the metallic hand close. Some people think it's part of a puppet, but that doesn't make sense to him. Plus it isn't as good of a story. Stilton asks where he found it and the adventurer replied, "On the way to the wizard's tower."

Between [[June 11th 1000 AC|June 11th]] and [[June 15th 1000 AC|June 11th]] Stilton watched over [[Conrad]] and [[Vanga Yor]]. He spent time trying to get to know each a little better. Conrad told Stilton about a city named [[Gnomon]] on [[Urth]] which is shaped like a sundial, including a gigantic rod (with structures on it) that casts a shadow over the circular city. It is also referred to as the city of shaded markets. Vanga Yor spoke about how hän is good with animals, but Stilton never notices hän interacting with any even though they have been in a wilderness environment for several days.
